Blackberry Mint Sparkler

Ingredients:

  • Have Hope tea, cold
  • 1 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • Sparkling blackberry juice (we used Izze brand!)
  • Ice
  • Sprig of mint for garnish

Directions:

The night before

  1. Add 5 tsp of Have Hope tea to 5 cups of room temperature water. Place in refrigerator overnight to cold brew.
  2. For an extra minty taste, we doubled the strength of the tea, adding 2 teaspoons of tea for every 1 cup of room temperature water and placing in the refrigerator overnight to cold brew. (For a less minty taste, use 1 teaspoon of tea for every cup of water).

The morning of

  1. Place 1 cup of frozen blackberries in a bowl and sprinkle with 1 Tbsp of sugar.
  2. Let the blackberries sit and thaw to room temperature, creating a sweet blackberry syrup. (If you’re in a time crunch, you can speed the process up by microwaving the berries for 30 seconds, stirring, then leaving them to sit)

At serving time

  1. Scoop 1 tbsp of the blackberry syrup over a cup of ice.
  2. Fill the cup halfway with sparkling blackberry juice.
  3. Fill the cup the rest of the way with Have Hope tea
  4. Stir, then add a sprig of mint. Enjoy!
  5. Adjust to Your Taste

Prefer something a little sweeter? You can easily adjust this recipe by adding more sparkling juice and less tea.

Toss in some fresh blackberries for extra garnish and flavor. You can even experiment with different blackberry sparkling sodas or seltzers!

Have Questions About Iced Tea?

Here Are Some Answers...

I normally drink hot tea, how do I make iced tea?

Iced tea is simple and delicious. We prefer the Cold Brew Method:

Place 5 rounded tsp of loose leaf tea in a large pitcher. Fill with 5 cups of room-temperature filtered water. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 3-5 hours or overnight. When done steeping, pour the mixture through a filter into individual glasses or another clean pitcher for future use. Serve over ice.

Cold Brewed tea will last 4-5 days in the refrigerator.

Want to make a single serving? It's always a 1:1 ratio. 1 rounded tsp of tea with 1 cup filtered water, then steep, strain, and enjoy!

Can I brew the tea hot and pour over ice?

Absolutely. This method is great if you want iced tea right away. You can simply brew your hot tea double strength and pour over ice. This method may result in a more bitter cup of tea than the cold brew method mentioned above.

How much iced tea will this bundle make?

The Teamotions Iced Tea Bundle has a total of 96 servings of tea, allowing for 96 or more servings of iced tea.

How much caffeine do the teas contain?

Discover Joy contains about 25-35mg of caffeine

Have Hope is naturally caffeine-free

Find Strength contains about 25-35mg of caffeine

In comparison, a cup of coffee has about 110mg or more of caffeine.

Are these organic?

Yes. Every ingredient is organic.
