Our Story
Two sisters. One cup of tea.
And a promise to make it better.
I'm Crystal, and my sister is Rachel.
For as long as I can remember, Rachel and I have been best pals, always looking out for each other. She encouraged my love for natural healing — herbs, roots, the kind of remedies our mothers and grandmothers trusted. But it wasn't until 2008 that I understood what that calling was for.
That year, Rachel lost her twin baby daughters.
Ellie lived for 7 days.
Aubrey lived for 11.
In the months that followed, I watched the grief take a physical toll on my sister — brain fog, depression, anxiety, fatigue, sleeplessness. She tried everything she could find: grief groups, books, therapy. And those things helped. But at the end of the day, she was still drowning. We both felt the frustration of needing something more, but not knowing what more was.
Through all of it, one thing stayed constant: Rachel always had a cup of tea in her hand. Wherever she was, whatever she was doing. If Rachel was there, so was her tea.
One morning, I could tell she was having a particularly hard time. I squeezed in next to her in that big brown armchair she loved, put my arm around her, and said:
I wish there was something I could put in your tea to make you feel better.
We looked at each other. And we both knew.
I spent the next 18 months pouring everything I knew about herbal medicine into creating tea blends that could actually help. I drew from Chinese and Ayurvedic traditions. I studied adaptogens — powerful herbs that help the body recover from stress. I blended. I tested. I refined. I blended again.
The teas had to do three things: they had to be effective, they had to taste incredible, and they had to feel like an act of love in every sip.
That's how Teamotions was born.
Six blends, each one designed for a specific emotional need. Together, they became a daily practice of self-care that helped Rachel — and eventually thousands of other women — find their way back to themselves.
Over a decade later, every blend still carries the love that started it all: a sister's determination to help another sister feel better.
If you're reading this, it's probably because something brought you here — stress, grief, exhaustion, or just a quiet feeling that you deserve something more for yourself. Whatever it is, we see you. And we made these teas for you.
Cheers to feeling like yourself again,
